Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum Daily Organ Recitals
Ask any Glaswegian what the best thing to do in Glasgow at lunchtime is, and they’ll likely point you in the direction of Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum in the vibrant West End. The building alone is magnificent, but at 1pm Mon-Sat and 3pm on Sundays, the building comes to life as one of the Kelvingrove organists plays the historic Lewis & Co. pipe organ, which is the grand focal point of the building’s main concourse.
Aaron Hawthorne has been playing recitals at Kelvingrove since making his debut as one of the youngest organists there in 2017. Since then, Aaron has become a firm favourite among museum visitors as his unique approach to the instrument gets people of all generations tapping their toes and singing along.
Below are Aaron’s upcoming recitals at Kelvingrove, and you can find out who is playing any day of the week by clicking here.
